Managing Demand Planning

OCC offers demand planning to provide a futuristic oversight of the usage of resources to the owner and the operator of a realm.

Your current region is displayed at the top of the Console. If your tenancy is subscribed to multiple regions, you can switch regions by selecting a different region from the Region menu.

Creating Demand Planning

Create demand planning in OCI Control Center

Your current region is displayed at the top of the Console. If your tenancy is subscribed to multiple regions, you can switch regions by selecting a different region from the Region menu.

Using the Console

  1. Open the navigation menu, click Governance and Administration, and then click Control Center.
  2. Click Demand Planning
  3. On the Demand Planning page, click Create demand plan
  4. In the Create demand plan panel, provide the following details:
    1. Enter a name for the demand plan.
    2. Provide a description for the demand plan.
    3. Select the Active check box to mark the demand plan as active.
    4. Select the service for which you want to create the forecast.
    5. Specify a Start Date and End date for the demand plan.
    6. Provide Usage Value for each month according to historical data.
  5. Click Create demand plan.

Viewing Demand Planning

View the details of a demand plan that you have created in Control Center.

Using the Console

  1. Open the navigation menu, click Governance and Administration, and then click Control Center.
  2. Click Demand Planning.
  3. On the Demand Planning page, click the name of the demand plan for which you want to view the details.
    On the details page, you can view the details of the demand plan.
