Apply locks to your catalog instances to avoid accidental tampering or deletion of the resources.
Note
You can apply locks only if you're an administrator or a user with Manage permissions.

On the Data Catalogs page, select the for the instance for which you want to apply
the lock. If you need help finding the Data Catalog page, see Viewing Created Instances.

Select Apply lock.

In the Manage lock dialog box, select one or both of the following options:
- Full lock: Select this option to let authorized users only read from the resource.
- Delete lock: Select this option to let authorized users read and change the resource. However, they can't delete the
resource.
If you select both the options, the Full lock option takes precedence.

Click Close.
On the Data Catalogs page, the Lock type column displays the type of lock applied to an instance.
