Creating an Artifact Signature

Create an artifact signature in a model in a Data Science project.

Before You Begin

See Before You Begin.

This task documents the steps for creating an artifact signature by using the Oracle Cloud Console. To use the API, see CreateModelArtifactSignature in the API Reference. To use the CLI, see oci data-science model-artifact-signature create in the OCI CLI Command Reference.

Tip

After you create an artifact signature, you can view its details and perform other tasks, such as updating it, moving it to a different compartment, managing its tags, or deleting it. Use the Actions menus in the Console to access these tasks, or use the relevant commands in the ModelArtifactSignature or Data Science CLI Reference. For more information, see Listing Resources. For information about verifying artifact signatures, see What's Next.

To create an artifact signature, follow these steps:

  1. On the Artifact signatures list page, select Create artifact signature. If you need help finding the list page, see Listing Artifact Signatures.
  2. On the Create artifact signature page, enter the following information.
    • Name: Enter a name for the artifact signature.
    • Compartment: Select the compartment that contains the key.
    • Vault: Select the vault that contains the key.
    • KMS Key: Select a KMS key.

The KMS key version is automatically populated with the OCID of the selected key.

    • Signing algorithm: Select a supported signing algorithm.
    • Tags (under Advanced options) (Optional): Add tags to the artifact signature. If you have permissions to create a resource, then you also have permissions to apply free-form tags to that resource. To apply a defined tag, you must have permissions to use the tag namespace. For more information about tagging, see Resource Tags. If you're not sure whether to apply tags, skip this option or ask an administrator. You can apply tags later.
  3. Select Create.

What's Next

Verify a selected artifact signature either manually using VerifyModelArtifactSignature or automatically when creating or updating a model deployment.
