Exadata Database - Restore

  • Restore from Automatic or Standalone Backups

    1. From the OCI console, select Exadata VM Clusters that you are using.
    2. Select the Databases tab, and select Container Database (CDB) that you are using.
    3. Select the Backups tab.
    4. From the backup list, select your backup that you are using, and then select the three-dot navigation menu.
    5. Select the Create database.
    6. From the Create Database from Backup page, complete the following substeps:
      1. Choose the All PDBs option from PDB section.
      2. Select your preferred Region from the list. Select the region where you want to create the backup.
      3. The Availability domain is selected as default.
      4. Select your Compartment and VM Cluster from the dropdown lists.
      5. Navigate to Database Home section, and then choose the Select an existing Database Home option. From the Create Database Home dropdown list, select your Database Home.
      6. Specify a Database name that helps you easily identify the resource.
      7. Specify a Database unique name that helps you easily identify the resource.
      8. Enter your Password, Confirm password and TDE's wallet or RMAN password.
      9. Select the Create button.
    7. Return to the Exadata VM Clusters to view the State of your restore process.
