Site Readiness Overview

Use the following information as a planning and readiness aid to prepare the site for Oracle design review and deployment.

The Dedicated Cloud Site Readiness Overview defines when a Dedicated Cloud site is ready for Oracle design review and deployment.

A site is build-ready when the site can safely support delivery, installation, and long-term operation of Oracle equipment. Build-ready sites have the following conditions in place:

  • Structural readiness
  • Resilient power and cooling
  • Active security controls
  • Redundant carrier entry and fiber routing
Area What to Prepare Key Planning Value
Facility foundations Conditioned data center space with AC 3-phase power, separate A and B power paths, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), generator, grounding, fire protection, and leak detection. 18 degrees C to 27 degrees C supply air; 8% to 50% relative humidity (RH) baseline, up to 70% with validation; -9 degrees C to 15 degrees C dew point.
Support space Secure storage, staging and build space, and a receiving path that supports large rack deliveries. 9.25 sq m dedicated storage, if used; 24x7 loading dock access; rack receiving up to 900 kg or 1,150 kg.
Data hall readiness Completed room construction, delivery path, floor loading, containment, lighting, signage, and commissioning. 2.6 m clearance before uncrating; 2.45 m door height after uncrating; 1.21 m minimum hot-aisle and cold-aisle width.
Operations On-call facility response, maintenance controls, and critical spares for steady-state operations. 24x7 incident response; 4 weeks of notice for planned work that reduces redundancy; 2 weeks of notice for unscheduled critical maintenance that reduces redundancy.
Security Layered physical controls, monitoring, alarms, logging, and controlled access into Oracle-occupied space. Three security layers; dual authentication; CCTV at 5 frames per second (FPS) minimum; 90-day video retention.
Physical networking Secure carrier entry, diverse pathways, and single-mode fiber (SMF) routed from the carrier demarcation point to Oracle space. Two meet-me rooms (MMRs) or equivalent; 10 m inter-building separation; 48 SMF strands per A and B path; 70 m general maximum cable distance.

Planning note: The values in this guide are for early site planning and readiness reviews. Oracle confirms final rack placement, approved footprint-specific values, and approved exceptions during Oracle design review. For complete requirement details and obligations, see the Dedicated Cloud Build Requirements Document.

Oracle provides a Dedicated Cloud Build Requirements Document to customers during the pre-contract process. This document includes detailed build requirements, obligations, and customer responsibilities specific to the Dedicated Cloud engagement. It is shared directly with customers.
