Adding a Person Mapping from a CSV File

Upload a CSV file that maps people to their managers and cost centers.

Use this mapping to associate per-user costs from OpenAI ChatGPT, Codex, and Work, and Anthropic Enterprise with the person's management hierarchy and cost center.

Prepare approved employee email addresses, manager email addresses, and cost-center codes. Use the person mapping template supplied in the setup flow. You don't need a Fusion HCM account or an identity domain connection for a CSV upload. See Person Mappings.

  1. Open the workspace, select Integrations, and then select Add person mapping.
  2. Under Select a mapping source, select Person mapping CSV, and then select Continue.
  3. Download the person mapping template and replace the example data with your person mapping data.

    Preserve the template's column names and order. The following example uses fictional email addresses and a cost-center code:

    Replace the example values with your data and add one row for each person. Enter the person's work email in person_id and manager emails in m1 through m11, from highest to lowest. In this example, m3 contains Alex's immediate manager and m4 through m11 are blank. Keep the columns for unused levels.

    This row associates Alex's applicable per-user costs with cost center CC-100 and the reporting chain from CEO to vice president to manager. Alex's email identifies the person whose costs are mapped. The manager emails describe the hierarchy. See Person Mapping CSV Fields.

    Don't substitute a project ID mapping CSV file or include passwords or API keys.

    For example, a CSV file with extra columns or unsupported details can upload successfully but fails validation.

  4. Upload the completed CSV file and address any errors reported by the setup flow.
    The upload takes 5 to 10 minutes, depending on file size.
  5. Submit the mapping.

Validation takes about 5 minutes, depending on the file size, and is separate from the upload. Review the person mapping's state on the Integrations tab and the validation result in Work requests. If validation fails, review the error log and correct the reported issues. See Monitoring Cost Advisor Work Requests.

For OpenAI API, Anthropic Console, and OCI Generative AI costs, add a project ID mapping to the same workspace. It supplies its own management hierarchy and cost center for each provider resource.
