Overview of Oracle Multicloud Hub
Learn about using Oracle Multicloud Hub (Multicloud Hub) to work with Oracle products from partner cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Features
Use Multicloud Hub to perform the following actions from the OCI Console:
- Understand your Multicloud contractual terms.
- Discover your Multicloud resources across partner cloud providers.
- Map partner cloud provider grouping and networking constructs to corresponding OCI constructs through resource and network anchors.
- Map OCI availability domains to partner cloud regions and zones. This information is helpful for requesting limit increases through the OCI Console and setting up high availability / disaster recovery (HA/DR) for your databases.
Terminology
Learn the following terms related to Multicloud Hub.
- Multicloud compartment
- Each Multicloud subscription contains a Multicloud base compartment. A base compartment contains one or more child compartments known as Multicloud linked compartments. See Multicloud base compartment and Multicloud linked compartment.
- Multicloud base compartment
- The top-level OCI compartment for a Multicloud subscription. The Multicloud base compartment isn't visible in the Console using Multicloud Hub. The default name of a base compartment is
MulticloudLink_<CSP_name>_<unique_identifier>. - Multicloud linked compartment
- An OCI compartment that corresponds to a cloud provider entity. A Multicloud linked compartment can be one of the following types:
- Azure subscription compartment
- Azure resource group compartment
- AWS account compartment
- GCP project compartment
- Multicloud resource
- An Oracle database or other resource used with a partner cloud provider.
- Multicloud subscription
- A contract with a partner cloud provider to use Oracle resources.
- network anchor
- Point-to-point mapping of network resources between OCI and a partner cloud network.
- resource anchor
- Component to bind resources in the partner cloud to resources in OCI.
- resource container
- The cloud provider-specific container for its resources.
