Editing a Business Event

Edit business events using the Authorized Approver role.

Business events can only be edited if their start date is equal to or higher than the current date.

Note

Customer users with the Authorized Approver role cannot create, edit, or delete CPU patching events for the current CPU release cycle, but can do so for subsequent ones. Oracle events cannot be edited.

For CPU patching events on production instances, a minimum interval 24 hours is required.

For CPU patching events on production support instances, a minimum interval of three-weekday range (72 hours) is required.

To edit a business event:

  1. Navigate to the Calendar Grid/Monthly View or List View.

  2. Select the timezone you want to view events on. The selected timezone is displayed on the Calendar Dashboard.

  3. For Calendar Grid/Monthly view, click a customer-specific event whose scheduled start date is equal to or higher than the current date, then select Edit.

    For Calendar List View, select the event you want to edit, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu), and then select Edit

    The Edit Business Event dialog box opens.

  4. Make the required changes in the Event Type, Start Date or End Date fields (both displayed on your selected timezone).

    Note:

    The start date of a business event must be higher than the current date, while the end date of a business event must be higher than its start date.

  5. Click Save.

    The Your business event was successfully saved. message is displayed in the upper left side of the page.
