Billing and Licensing
This topic highlights some important aspects of billing and licensing for Resource Analytics.
Billing Metrics of Oracle Autonomous AI Database Associated with Resource Analytics
Resource Analytics requires an Oracle Autonomous AI Database (ADW) instance, and optionally an Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) instance.
ECPU Billing
Oracle Autonomous AI Database uses the ECPU billing metric.
- Lower entry cost
- Finer granularity for scaling the data warehouse
- Lower storage costs
Bring Your Own License (BYOL)
Resource Analytics is powered by Oracle Database Enterprise Edition, and optionally Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). These tools are provisioned and tuned for use with Resource Analytics as part of the Resource Analytics provisioning process. However, you may select a BYOL option for both the database and OAC to bring your existing software licenses to the cloud service, if they're available. Note that Resource Analytics requires Oracle Database Enterprise Edition.
To use BYOL, select this option while completing the Resource Analytics create instance form.
- For BYOL policies, see Oracle Cloud Services contracts. BYOL policies are described in the Oracle PaaS and IaaS Universal Credits Service Descriptions document under Cloud Service Descriptions.
