Capture the Activity Stream of Integrations in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console

Use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Logging to collect and manage the activity stream of integrations.

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Logging service provides a highly scalable and fully managed logging environment. See Logging Overview.

When you enable logging, Oracle Integration creates the servicelogs-<>.log file and pushes it to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for analysis. See Service Logs for Oracle Integration 3.

The data in the logs is the same data available in the activity stream in Oracle Integration. See View the Dashboard in Using Integrations in Oracle Integration 3.

By default, the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console saves one month of activity stream customer-facing logs, though you can choose to store up to six months of data. If you need to store data longer, you have other options, such as using a service connector hub to send the log to your object storage or to a location outside of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Create a log group and enable the log

  1. In the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console, open the navigation menu and click Developer Services, then, under Application Integration, click Integration.
  2. Open the Oracle Integration instance to which you want to add a private endpoint.

If you don't see the instance you're looking for, make sure you're viewing the correct region (in the banner) and compartment (at the top of the instance list, next to Applied filters).

  3. On the Integration instance details page, in the tabs across the top, click Logs.
  4. To the right of the Activity Stream entry, click Actions button, then click Enable log.
  5. In the Enable resource log panel, select an existing compartment and log group, or create a new log group:
    1. Click Create new group.
    2. Enter a name (for example, OracleIntegration_ActivityStream_LogGroup) and description.
    3. Click Create.
  6. Leave the default Log name or edit it.
  7. If you want to store more than one month of data, you can change the log retention setting. Click Show advanced options, and select a new Log retention option.
  8. Click Enable log.

View the log data

After logging is enabled and the log has been created, click the link under Log name to view the log details:

  • In the Explore Log section, you can sort and filter the log data.
  • To search and analyze the log, click Explore with Log Search. See Searching Logs.

You can also view the log from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Logging. In the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console navigation menu, click Observability & management, then, under Logging, click Logs.
