Take caution when creating or deleting compartments and tags against Compute Cloud@Customer resources

Details

Customers in realms outside of the following list need to be cautious when creating or deleting compartments and tags against Compute Cloud@Customer (CCC) resources.

Failure to follow the guidelines in the Workaround section could lead to out of sync environments and critically a loss of resource(s) that may require the system to be bootstrapped to factory configuration.

Workaround: Ensure you do not:

  • Delete compartments in OCI where you have created a resource on the Compute Cloud@Customer rack. For example, "Compartment C" on the rack and then deleting that compartment in OCI.
  • Delete tags on any Compute Cloud@Customer resources if any are created.

  • Delete the compartment that the CCC-Infrastructure resource is in. Failure to adhered to this could lead to a loss of the resource and require the system to be bootstrapped to its factory configuration.
