Analyzing Data from a SQL Endpoint with Tableau

Follow these steps to load databases and tables from a SQL Endpoint, and start analyzing the data in Tableau.

  1. Sign in to Tableau.
  2. For Database, select SPARK from the list.
  3. Under Schema, click Search.
    A list of databases and schemas is displayed.
  4. Select a schema or database.
  5. Under Table, click Search.
    A list of tables is displayed in the schema or database.
  6. (Optional) Click the tables to browse their data.
  7. (Optional) Click New custom SQL to write a custom SQL query.
