Saving a Copy of an Object from a Published Task

When a published task is associated with a data flow or pipeline in Data Integration, you can save a copy of the associated data flow or pipeline, and the integration task for the data flow.

By saving a copy of the task, and data flow or pipeline, you can make and test modifications without affecting the existing task, data flow, or pipeline.

  1. On the workspace home page, click Applications.
  2. On the Applications page, select the compartment that contains the application.
  3. In the applications list, click the name of the application that has the published task.
  4. On the application details page, click Tasks.
  5. In the Tasks list, click the name of an integration task or a pipeline task.
  6. On the published task details page, click View definition.
  7. On the task definition page, perform any one of the following actions:
    • To save a copy of an integration task, click Save as.
    • To save a copy of an associated data flow or pipeline, click the name of the data flow or pipeline. On the read-only page that displays, click Save as.
  8. In the Save as panel that appears, enter a name and a description (optional) for the object copy.
The identifier is a system-generated value based on the name. You can change the value, but after you save the object, you can't update the identifier.
  9. To save the copy in a different project or folder, click Edit. Select another project or folder in the Edit project or folder panel, and then click Select.
  10. In the Save as panel, click Save.
