Access Database Management Overview
On obtaining the required permissions and completing the prerequisite tasks, you can use the Database Management Overview page as a launch pad to get started with Database Management for Oracle Databases.
To access the Overview page:
- Sign in to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console.
- Open the navigation menu, click Observability & Management. Under Database Management, click Overview.
- On the left pane, select the compartment that contains the Oracle Databases for which Database Management is enabled.
On the Overview page, you can perform the following tasks when using Database Management for Oracle Databases:
- View an overview of the Database Management features.
- Click the Pricing and Documentation links for information on Database Management pricing and features.
- Click the links on the Get started tile
to:
- Automatically generate and add policies to grant permissions to user groups to enable and use Database Management. For information, see Automatically Grant Permissions to User Groups.
- Go to the page where you can enable Database Management. For information, see Enable Database Management.
- View the total number of Oracle Databases in the compartment and the number of Oracle Databases for which Database Management is enabled on the Oracle databases tile. Note that to view the database information on the Oracle databases tile, you must have the required Database Management and other Oracle Cloud Infrastructure service permissions. For information, see Permissions Required to Use Database Management.
- Click the links on the Ops Insights tile to go to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Ops Insights service and use its features. For information, see About Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Ops Insights.
- Click the links on the left pane or on the Fleet summary, Database groups, and Administration tiles to go to the corresponding page and use Database Management features to monitor and manage your Oracle Databases.
