Java Runtime Installations

Select Java runtime installations tab to view the list of Java runtime installations that are associated with the selected managed instance during the specified time period.

Review your agent settings to ensure they are configured correctly for JMS Fleets to discover and manage your Java runtimes effectively.

In the Search and Filter text field, you can filter the displayed resources by using the drop-down menu. The available options include:

  • Security state: filter the list of Java runtime installations by security state.

Use Applied filters drop-down to select the required time period for displaying the resources. By default, resources pertaining to last 7 days are displayed.

You can customize the table columns by using the Manage columns icon.

For each installation, the table presents the following information:
  • Path: file system path such as /usr/lib/jvm/jdk13.0.1/
  • Architecture: Java runtime architecture, such as x64 or amd64
  • Distribution: name of the distribution, such as Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment
  • Version: version number of Java runtime, such as 1.8.0_282
  • Vendor: such as Oracle Corporation
  • Security state: one of - Unknown, Early access, Upgrade Required (for unsupported/EOSL versions), Update Available (for supported versions), or Up to Date. For Java Runtimes that aren't Up to Date, the days for which the runtime has been below the security baseline are listed in the info block above the Java Information tab.
  • Applications: number of applications using the Java runtime installation path
  • (For instances with agent type Oracle Container Management Agent) Containers: number of containers hosting the Java runtime installation.
  • First reported: date and time when the Java runtime installation was first reported
  • Last reported: date and time when the Java runtime installation was last reported

To delete any Java runtime installation, select the required row and Select Delete.

From the Action menu …, select View applications installed on the Java server.

In the Items per page field, choose 10, 25, 50, or 100 items to display. Select the header of a column to sort the list based on the title of the column.

Select the version of an installation to view details of the associated Java Runtime. (See Java Runtime Information.)
