Provisioning an Oracle Exadata System

Provisioning an Oracle Exadata System combines the creation flows for an Oracle Exadata Infrastructure, an Oracle Exadata VM Cluster, and an Oracle Exadata Database.

Note

You cannot provision an Oracle Exadata System using an Oracle Cloud Free Tier account. You will have to upgrade your account to provision this.
Note

Provisioning an Oracle Exadata System is a time-consuming process and takes multiple hours to complete.
Note

The service limits for the database and storage servers in your tenancy must be sufficient to provision an Oracle Exadata System with your selected Exadata system model and configuration. Request a service limit increase from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console if required. Refer to Requesting a Service Limit Increase for more details.

To create an Oracle Exadata System, do the following:

  1. From the OracleDB for Azure Portal, select the Create a resource icon. From here, select the Exadata Systems Create link.

  2. This is the beginning of the Create Exadata System flow. The UI elements creating an Oracle Exadata System are similar to the creation flow for each individual Exadata component. There are differences in the combined Oracle Exadata System flow that you must note. The Oracle Exadata System combined flow includes all the fields from the individual Oracle Exadata Infrastructure, Oracle Exadata VM Cluster, and Oracle Exadata Database flows.
