Unregistering a Management Station
Unregister a management station from OS Management Hub to remove it from the service.
- What happens to the station when it's unregistered?
-
Unregistering restores the yum or DNF repository files to their state before the instance was registered with the service. Unregistering removes the OS Management Hub agent plugin from the station instance. You can also optionally remove the Management Agent software from the system.
Any instances that were using the station will be unable to communicate with OS Management Hub.
Before you begin
-
Ensure no instances are using the station. If needed, switch instances to another station.
Important
After the station unregisters, any instances using the station will be unable to communicate with OS Management Hub. -
Review the station's job history and reports. This information is no longer available after you unregister. See:
Unregister the station
- Navigate to the Management stations list page.
- Select the compartment that contains the station.
- Select the name of the management station.
- Select Unregister.
Remove the Management Agent (optional)

mgmt_agent
package.sudo dnf remove oracle.mgmt_agent
- To remove the corresponding Management Agent resource from the Management Agent Cloud Service (MACS) in OCI, see Remove Management Agents.
