Overview of Private Cloud Appliance Hardware Components
The physical hardware configuration of Private Cloud Appliance consists of a base rack with servers, switches, and storage, and optional expansion racks for increased capacity. All components have been engineered for the best possible integration and performance.
This part of the documentation describes the properties and the role of each component. Special attention is given to the appliance network infrastructure, and the way it integrates with the data center environment. The appliance also has reserved ports for optional direct external connections, for example to an Exadata system.
