Autonomous Container Database (ACD) cloning enhancements
- Services: Autonomous Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure, Autonomous Database on Exadata Cloud@Customer
- Release Date: August 18, 2026
Autonomous AI Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure supports the following ACD clone types:
- Full Clone: Create a new ACD that includes the metadata and data from the source container database and Autonomous AI Databases within it.
- Partial Clone: Create a new ACD that includes a subset of Autonomous AI Databases from a source container database. Partial clones are not available when cloning an ACD from a remote backup.
For both clone types, you have the option to create a clone from a point in time, from a list of backups, or the latest available timestamp.
You can also modify the Clone Bandwidth while creating an ACD clone. Selecting low, med, high determines how the internal algorithm allocates available resources in the Autonomous Exadata VM Cluster (AVMC).
