Use AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS) customer-managed keys with Cross-region Data Guard for Autonomous AI Database on Oracle Database@AWS.

In Autonomous AI Database on Oracle Database@AWS, you can now use AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS) customer-managed keys with Cross-region Data Guard configurations. This enhancement enables secure disaster recovery deployments across AWS regions while continuing to use AWS-managed encryption keys.

To configure Cross-region Data Guard with AWS KMS, the customer-managed key must be replicated from the primary AWS region to the standby region and required policies need to be set in the replicated region.
