Kubernetes Engine support for deploying the CSI driver SMB cluster add-on

You can now use the CSI driver SMB add-on to enable cluster workloads to use SMB/CIFS file shares as persistent storage. The CSI driver SMB add-on mounts SMB shares as Kubernetes PersistentVolumes, allowing pods to access shared network file storage through PersistentVolumeClaims. The storage can be used to provide workloads with reusable, shared storage backed by SMB-compatible file servers, supporting use cases such as file sharing, application data persistence, and workloads that require ReadWriteMany-style access across nodes.
