Metric Extension Templates in Database Management

You can now create, test, and publish reusable Metric Extension Templates in Database Management, and use them to create Metric Extensions for Managed Databases or Database Groups. Metric Extensions collect custom metrics on a specified schedule and publish them to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring service to help you monitor database health and performance and create alarms.

The template-based experience is available for all database types supported by Database Management, whether the databases are monitored through a Management Agent or a Database Management private endpoint. For Oracle Cloud Databases, the Full management option must be enabled.
