Moving a Container Image Target Between Compartments

Move a scan target from one compartment to another.

• Moving a target doesn't also move the cloud resources (Compute instances, for example) in the target.

  1. On the Targets list page, select the recipe that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page or the target, see Listing the Compute Instances for a Target.
  2. Select Move resource.
  3. Select the destination compartment.
  4. Select Move resource.

  After you move the target to the new compartment, inherent policies apply immediately and affect access to the target through the Console. For more information, see Managing Compartments.

• Use the oci vulnerability-scanning container scan target change-compartment command and required parameters to move a container scan target into a different compartment:

  oci vulnerability-scanning container scan target change-compartment [OPTIONS]
