The image shows the Choose network access pane in the Create Instance dialog. In this image, the Secure access from allowed IPs and VCNs only option is selected. The pane shows examples of the three rule types for restricting access:

• IP address/CIDR block. To define this rule type you enter the IP address/CIDR block.
• Virtual Cloud Network (VCN). To define this rule type you select the VCN compartment, select the VCN, and IP address/CIDR block (optional).
• Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) OCID. To define this rule you enter the VCN OCID and IP address/CIDR block (optional).
