Run Pre-Upgrade Readiness Check

Oracle recommends that you run a readiness check before you start the upgrade process.

  1. Starting the Upgrade Assistant in Readiness Mode.
    1. Go to the NEW_ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/upgrade/bin directory.
    2. Run the command: ./ua -readiness
  2. On the Welcome screen, review information about the readiness check. Click Next.
  3. On the Readiness Check Type screen, select Individually Selected Schemas, and then click Next.
  4. On the Available Components screen, make sure you don't select Oracle Data Integrator and User Messaging Service (UMS) schemas for pre upgrade readiness check, and then click Next.
  5. On the Domain Directory screen, enter the existing 11.1.1.10.3 install domain directory and click Next.
    View all the schemas one after another, and you need to enter DBA password, schema passwords.
  6. On the Readiness Summary screen, review the summary of the readiness checks that will be performed based on your selections, and click Next.
  7. On the Readiness Check screen, review the status of the readiness check. The process can take several minutes. When the readiness check is complete, click Continue.
  8. Make sure readiness check is successful.
