Use Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer with SMTP Protocol

If you use SMTP as the communication protocol for messages exchanged with any trading partners, you can now optionally use the SMTP server that is configured for the Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer to send the email messages.

Steps to enable and configure

In order to use the Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer to send emails, perform the following steps:

  1. Add the new property OXTAMAILER in the $INST_TOP/appl/admin/oafm_wls.properties file.
  2. Configure the Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer for SMTP.
  3. If you plan to use OAuth-2.0–based authentication for the Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer, ensure that the required JavaMail version is included on the oafm server class path.

Note that this configuration impacts all trading partners with the communication protocol set to SMTP.
