Drill down from Period Close Dashboard accounting events to subledger journals. The dashboard enhancement supports drilldown into subledger journals for accounting events with draft, invalid, and final journal entry status.
Previously, users reviewing Period Close Dashboard exceptions had to leave the dashboard flow and locate related Subledger Accounting details through separate navigation. This enhancement connects the close-control view to the subledger journal evidence behind invoice and payment events, improving investigation speed and helping close teams understand whether accounting is ready, incomplete, or needs correction.

To review subledger journal lines for a pending event, click Subledger Journal Lines. The Subledger Journal Entry Lines page opens in the Subledger Journal Lines drawer.

Steps to enable and configure

  • Apply the Release 12.2.13+ update that delivers Period Close Dashboard drilldown enhancements.
  • Run or refresh the Payables Command Center Data Load concurrent program.
  • Open the Period Close Dashboard, filter to the period and journal entry status under review, and use the row action to navigate to Subledger Journal Lines for a selected accounting event.
  • Validate that users who perform close review have access to the related Subledger Accounting journal details.

Tips and considerations

  • Use the drilldown from the Pending Accounting Events or event detail table when the close team needs journal evidence for a specific invoice or payment event.
  • Access to the destination subledger journal pages must align with the user responsibilities and security model.
  • Use draft, invalid, and final journal entry statuses in test data so users understand the complete drilldown behavior.
