Create and Update Items with Only Required Attributes Using Public API

Use the Integrated SOA Gateway web service to create or update items by providing only the required mandatory parameters.

Mandatory parameters are:
• Item Name
• Item Description
• Item Organization
• Transaction Type

The new ‘Process Items Service’ Web service will call the API. Based on the parameters that you provide, the API performs validations and creates records, updates records, and displays error messages, if required.

Steps to enable and configure

Select the Process Items Service method for the Catalog Item Maintenance API package (EGO_ITEM_PUB or INV_ITEM_PUB) in Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway to create and update items.

Tips and considerations

 - Ensure that the mandatory parameters are provided.

- Check if Web Service is deployed accurately on the instance.
