Manage LPNs For Internal Sales Orders (ISO) and Inter-Organization Transfers (IOT) Shipment Cancellation

Strengthen control over License Plate Number (LPN) management during Internal Sales Order (ISO) and Inter-Organization Transfer (IOT) shipment cancellations with this Release 12.2.13 feature. Prior to this update, LPN handling during cancellations lacked specific status updates and unpacking mechanisms, potentially causing confusion in tracking returned or canceled shipments.

This enhancement delivers critical business benefits by updating LPN status to "Intransit for Internal RMA" during cancellation and unpacking LPN references from shipment lines, ensuring clear inventory status. It addresses needs in complex supply chains where accurate tracking of canceled shipments is vital, supporting use cases like managing returns to origin with precise status visibility. Implementation considerations include ensuring that cancellation workflows are aligned with these LPN updates to maintain inventory integrity. Note that unpacking is irreversible, meaning quantities will not be re-packed if the cancellation is reversed.

Steps to enable and configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

- Be aware that unpacking LPNs during cancellation is a one-way process; plan workflows to account for this irreversibility.

- Train staff on the updated LPN status meanings to ensure accurate interpretation during returns processing.
