Exclude Lines Not Considered for Planning from Shipments Sent to Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)

This enhancement excludes lines set to “Ignore for Planning” from actual shipment updates that are sent to Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). Prior to Release 12.2.12, actual shipment updates sent by the concurrent program Shipping-Transportation Outbound Interface included all lines and trips, even when they were marked as Ignore for Planning.

The Shipping-Transportation Outbound Interface Actual Shipment flow is enhanced so that the records marked Ignore for Planning are not sent to OTM. This helps keep transportation planning integrations focused on the shipment lines that should be considered for planning and reduces unnecessary or unwanted shipment information sent to OTM.

Steps to enable and configure

1. Run the Shipping-Transportation Outbound Interface program.

2. Use the Planned Shipments Only parameter when the Interface Action is Actual Shipment.

3. Validate that records marked Ignore for Planning are excluded from the shipments sent to OTM.
