Create Requisitions Using Public REST API

This public REST API enables Oracle iProcurement to integrate with third-party systems and other Oracle products to create requisitions in real time. Organizations can use the REST API to create both internal and regular requisitions more efficiently and reduce the time required to create requisitions. Prior to Release 12.2.14, requisitions from external systems were created through the requisition import process.
Compared with the prior requisition and shopping capability, this enhancement places the named capability directly in the Oracle iProcurement flow for Release 12.2.14. This enhancement improves requisition accuracy, traceability, and requester control before downstream purchasing activity begins.

Steps to enable and configure

  1. Review the relevant Oracle iProcurement web service, public API, or integration definition.
  2. Configure the standard Oracle E-Business Suite integration setup and test the affected create, query, submit, or update flow.
  3. Validate payloads for the requisition or purchasing document entities named by the feature, such as headers, lines, schedules, pay items, or distributions.

Tips and considerations

Coordinate integration testing with the teams responsible for upstream and downstream purchasing document data.
