Perform Novation Using Web Services
Using PDS (Procurement Data Standard) and Business Service Object (BSO) web services, contracting officers can now modify the suppliers on a current award as part of a Novation procedure when the contract is not yet executed fully or partially.
Enhancements to existing web services, including PDS and BSO, make it easier for agencies to use these services by enabling supplier changes on active awards during the novation process. This reduces manual effort and helps ensure supplier information remains accurate throughout award lifecycle changes.
Steps to enable and configure
On the Purchasing Options page, in the CLM Controls region, a new Enable Supplier Changes Using BSO Web Service checkbox is added. Select this check box to use PDS (Procurement Data Standard) and Business Service Object (BSO) web services to modify the suppliers on a current award as part of a Novation procedure.
Important: The Enable Supplier Changes Using BSO Web Service check box is hidden by default. Display the check box using personalization. For more information, see Personalizing the CLM Interface, Oracle Contract Lifecycle Management for Public Sector Implementation Guide.
