Multiplatform: New App Built with Apache Cordova Framework
The Oracle Mobile Field Service app has been modernized and rebuilt using the Apache Cordova framework. Now available as Oracle Field Service for EBS on the iOS and Android app stores, this version replaces the older app built on Oracle Mobile Application Framework (MAF), which was limited in capabilities and updates.
The Cordova-based app supports Oracle E-Business Suite releases 12.1.3 and 12.2 (12.2.3 and later), improving compatibility with current environments while providing a more robust and flexible platform for field service operations. It also enhances operational efficiency:
- Delivers a modern, sustainable mobile experience for technicians and managers.
- Aligns with evolving technology and security standards.
- Supports key tasks such as task management, debrief creation, and parts ordering directly from mobile devices.
