10 Saving Reports
To save a report to the repository:
- With the report displayed in the layout area, select File, and then Save.
- In the Save Report dialog box, select a folder or create a new folder in which to save the report.
- In Name, enter the report name.
You can use upper and lowercase letters, spaces and numbers. You cannot use the following characters: %,?,+,<,>,|,@,#,$,^,&,*.
- In Description, enter a description of the report.
- In Type, select either Reports or Snapshot Reports.
When you save a report as a snapshot report, the report is converted to a snapshot containing static data for that period of time. Any time a snapshot report is viewed, data-level security does not apply. Data-level security is applied when the snapshot report is created and is based upon the data level security that is set up for the user who saved the snapshot report.
- Click Save.
