Changing the Database Connection From Planning Details to Analytic Services

The following is a list of considerations when changing the database connection from Planning Details to Analytic Services for a report:

  • The data source reference is the only change and there is no conversion.
  • There are several features that may be defined in a Planning Details report that are irrelevant for Analytic Services report, including Planning Annotations and Supporting Detail. If Supporting Detail is defined in the report, the details are ignored. If Planning Annotations are used, they return an error. The report designer must remove the Planning Annotation function for the report to run.
