Scheduling a Batch to Run

Schedule a batch to run from within Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Workspace.

  1. From EPM Workspace with the BI Catalog open, select Navigate, then Schedule, and then Batch Scheduler.
  2. On the Batch Scheduler tab, select File, and then New Scheduled Batch.
  3. In the Schedule Batch wizard, under Batch Job Details, enter a name and description for the batch.
    The Batch Job Name must start with a Java start identifier, and other characters should be Java identifier parts or a hyphen character.
  4. Under Folders, navigate to the desired batch, then select the batch, and then click Next.
  5. If the Login Credentials dialog box is displayed, enter a user name and password, and then click OK. See Providing Logon Credentials.
  6. In Start Time, define how routinely you want the batch to run.
  7. In Scheduled Batch Point of View, if any reports and books in the batch have dimensions in the user POV, set the member for those dimensions.
  8. In Bursting Options, set options to use job bursting to run a batch for more than one member in a dimension on the Batch POV. See Scheduling Batch Bursting.
  9. In Destinations, define destination information about the batch file you are running. See Specifying the Batch Destination.
  10. In Bursted Output Labels, define object label and subfolder label information. See Specifying Burst Output Labels.
  11. In Scheduled Batch Details, specify whether to send an email to recipients if the batch ran successfully or unsuccessfully along with a brief message. See Selecting Email Addresses for Batch Scheduling.
  12. Click Finish to save the batch job in the Batch Scheduler.
