Creating a Script Component

You can create a script component from the System View. Script components can be used in business rules and templates.

Note:

Script components can be used in Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle Hyperion Planning, and Oracle Essbase block storage business rules and custom templates.

To create a script component:

1. Enter the script's name and application type.
2. Select an Application Name.
   The application name must be an application created with Financial Management or Planning application administration, or an Essbase block storage application.
3. Do one of these tasks:
   1. If you selected Financial Management, select the Calculation Type.
   2. If you selected Planning, select the Plan Type.
   3. If you selected Essbase, select the Database.

   Note:

   From the System View, if you right-click Scripts, and select New, the New Script dialog is populated with the application type, the application, and the calculation type (for Financial Management scripts), the plan type (for Planning scripts), or the database (for Essbase scripts) with which you are working.
