Assigning Controlled Node Access Groups

You use node access groups to control user access to hierarchies and nodes. Node access groups use inheritance to assign security to a node and its descendants. Global node access groups must be assigned to a hierarchy that will control from where access is inherited.

To assign a controlled node access group to a hierarchy:

  1. From Browse, select a version.
  2. Optional: View a subset of hierarchies by selecting an option from the Group By drop-down list.
  3. Right-click a hierarchy, select Assign Control, and then Node Access Groups.

A list of global inheriting access groups are displayed.

  4. Select groups and move them from Available to Selected, and then click OK.
