Shared Nodes and Domains

It is important to understand the following information about shared nodes and domains:

  • The Domain Membership menu option is not be available for shared nodes (explicit or implicit).

  • If a primary node is added to a domain, its shared nodes reflect the same domain attributes.

  • Children of primary nodes have their implicit nodes displayed as read-only and reflect the domain attributes of the primary node.

  • When the Domain Membership process is run from the version level, shared nodes do not display as added to the domain, but display as an exception in the list, for example, Node XXX is a shared node and can't be directly assigned to a domain. Shared nodes inherit their domain attributes from their primary node
