F Archiving

Administrators can now help keep the size of the database in check and help performance by using archive, restore, and purge functionality available for Account Reconciliation Manager and Close Manager. This allows you to archive Financial Close Management data and access the archived content as needed. Archiving is an extension of the existing Lifecycle Management (LCM) export and import functionality and a new artifact of reconciliations has been created in LCM for Account Reconciliation Manager.

The features are:

  • Archive - allows you to save the following objects in an archive file that can be stored locally:
    • Reconciliations, transactions and related data from selected periods in Account Reconciliation Manager
    • Schedules, tasks and related data in Close Manager
  • Restore - allows you to restore the saved archive file to a different machine or the same machine.

    Note:

During a restore, profile segments cannot be created if profiles exist.
  • Purge - allows you to permanently remove the following after archiving if you wish::
    • Reconciliations, transactions, and related data from selected periods in Account Reconciliation Manager

      Note:

The periods stay in place but only the reconciliations are removed.
    • Schedules, tasks and related data from Close Manager
