Purpose

This document includes important, late-breaking information about this release of Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting and Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Web Studio. Review this Readme thoroughly before installing Financial Reporting.

Scope of this Release

Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Release 11.2.1.0.000 offers these benefits:

  • Delivers updated technology, including Fusion Middleware (FMW) 12g.

  • Includes updated platform certifications.

  • Streamlines and simplifies the architecture, updating the underlying technology stack without a major upgrade.

  • Provides a simplified repository configuration to streamline infrastructure and architecture for the future.

  • Includes Premier Support through at least 2030.

Release 11.2.1.0.000 does not support the following features and products:

  • Hyperion BI Plus is no longer available; however, if your use of Financial Reporting was licensed through Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, or Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management, it is fully supported as part of those product offerings as established in the Lifetime Support Policy, and may be used for reporting against Oracle Essbase data sources.

  • The following reporting tools are not supported:

    • Oracle Hyperion Reporting and Analysis

    • Oracle Hyperion Reporting and Analysis Framework

    • Oracle Hyperion SQR Production Reporting

    • Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting

    • Oracle Hyperion Web Analysis

    • Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio

    • Oracle Hyperion Dashboard Development Services

    Note: Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Web Studio is still supported.

New Features in Release 11.2.1.0.000

Release 11.2.1.0.000 adds support for Google Chrome web browser, Microsoft Edge web browser, and Windows Server 2016. Check the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Certification Matrix for all platform requirements.

New Features in Release 11.2.0

There are no new features for Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting and Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Web Studio in Release 11.2.0.

Internet Explorer Browser Support

For Internet Explorer Browser users, Microsoft recommends using the new Microsoft Edge as your default browser. With this guidance in mind, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System will no longer support Internet Explorer starting with release 11.2.2.0.000. If you have any questions regarding de-support, please create a Service Request. For additional guidance on Internet Explorer Lifecycle, contact Microsoft.

Backward Compatibility

Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting supports only the product release for which it is deployed.

Defects Fixed in Release 11.2.1.0.000

  • 30567762 -- The first time you change the chart properties for a chart in Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Web Studio, it causes a "Subscript out of range" error.

  • 30567441 -- The Chart Format Utility in Web Designer does not save the modified step adjustment.

  • 30473585 -- The Chart Format Utility in Web Designer does not save various settings.

Defects Fixed in Release 11.2.0

Release 11.2.0 includes all defects fixed from any PSE or PSU released after Release 11.1.2.4. See those readmes for the list of defects fixed in each PSE or PSU. The Oracle Hyperion Reporting and Analysis Release 11.1.2.4.000 Readme is inclusive all defects fixed.

Known Issues in Release 11.2.1.0.000

21566566 -- If an entire row is merged in a Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting report, it will be lost when exported to Microsoft Excel in Fully Formatted mode.

Known Issues in Release 11.2.0

  • If you open an existing report and save a grid, chart, image, or/text as a saved object, and then close that report and try to insert the saved object in a new report, the objects is inserted in the report tree, but it doesn't show up in the canvas.

    Workarounds:

    • Go into the editor and come back to the canvas to refresh and display the saved object.

    • Save and close the report, and then open the report again.

  • When you close the Format Chart dialog box in Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Web Studio using the [x] in the top right corner of the dialog box, an ADF error is displayed.

    Workaround: Click OK or Cancel to close the dialog box.

  • In some cases, changes to the colors for a chart data set and changes to the data ranges to include in a chart are not saved.
