Starting and Stopping Rules Profiling

By default, rules profiling is not enabled. You must enable it for applications.

You can enable profiling per application across all servers, but not for individual servers.

To start rules profiling:

  1. Select Navigate, then Administer, and then Consolidation Administration.
  2. Select Administration, and then Applications, or from Admin Tasks, select Applications.
  3. Select an application, right-click and then select Profile Summary.

If profiling has not been run on the application, the Profile Summary page does not display any results. If profiling has been run previously, you can view the results from prior runs.

  4. From the top of the screen, select Start.
  5. The system displays the following confirmation: "It is recommended not to enable profiling in production systems with active users. System performance can be negatively affected if profiling is enabled. Do you want to enable profiling?" From the confirmation prompt, click Yes.

    Note:

If you want to stop profiling that is already started, click Stop.
