Running a Matching Report by Account

You can run a Matching Report by account to match intercompany transactions at the transaction level. If no match is found, the problem could be incorrect entry of the transaction, or no recording of the transaction entry on the partner’s side.

The Matching Currency could be a specific currency or the common parent’s currency. The system translates both the transaction currency amount and the entity currency amount to the Matching Currency that you select. If you leave the Matching Currency blank, the system does not perform any translation, and the report does not display these columns: Entity Amount in Matching Currency, Partner Amount in Matching Currency, Matching Currency difference, Transaction Error, and Conversion Error.

To run a Matching Report by Account:

  1. Use one of these methods:
    • Select Consolidation, then Intercompany, then Reports. Click New, Reports, then Intercompany Match by Account.

    • Select Consolidation, then Intercompany, then Manage. From the Reports menu, select Intercompany Match by Account.

    • Select Consolidation, then Documents. Click New, then Reports, then Intercompany Match by Account.

  2. For Name, enter a report name.
  3. Optional: For Description, enter a report description.
  4. From Security Class, select a security class for the report, or use the Default security class.
  5. From Report Format, select a format.
  6. Optional: From Style Sheet, select a report style sheet.
  7. From the Point of View, select a scenario, year, and base period.
  8. For Entity, enter an entity or click Browse to select an entity.
  9. For Partner, enter a partner entity or click Browse to select a partner entity.
  10. From Member Name, select an option:
    • To display the dimension member label, select Label.

    • To display the dimension member description, select Description.

    • To display the label and description, select Both.

  11. Optional: From Scale Factor and Decimal Override, select values for the amounts displayed for the transactions.
  12. From the Report Columns section, select columns to display on the report.
  13. From Accounts, click Add and select the account dimension members or custom members, and in the Matching Accounts section, click Add and select the matching account dimension members or custom members.
  14. Optional: From the Row Filter Suppress section, select to suppress:
    • Details

    • Matched using Transaction Currency Amount, then enter a tolerance if required

    • Matched using Matching Currency Amount, then enter a tolerance if required

  15. From Include During Processing, select one or more Match or Post statuses:
    • Matched

    • Unmatched

    • Mismatched

    • Posted

    • Unposted

  16. Optional: To filter by transaction currency, from Transaction Currency, select a currency.
  17. To print or preview the report, click Print/Preview, or select Actions and then Print/Preview.

    The report opens in a new tab.

  18. To save the report, click Save, or select Actions, and then Save.

    Tip:

    To reset the selected options back to default values without saving your changes, click Reset or select Actions, and then Reset.

  19. From the confirmation prompt that the report was saved successfully, click OK.
