Using Essbase 21c with Shared Services, Smart View, and Financial Reporting

Beginning with Release 11.2.5, you can use Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting and Oracle Smart View for Office from an Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System deployment to report on Oracle Essbase cubes in a standalone Essbase 21c deployment.

You install and configure Essbase 21c as an independent deployment with its own Oracle Hyperion Shared Services and its own lifecycle for patching, upgrade, and user and security management.

To use Essbase 21c with Financial Reporting and Smart View from an EPM System deployment:

1. Install and configure Essbase 21c.
