Configuring Essbase 21c Failover
Essbase 21c high availability using WebLogic-managed, lease-based failover with unlimited cluster nodes, replacing OPMN clustering and requiring identical installation paths on primary and secondary nodes.
Compared to EPM Release 11.2.14 and prior releases, Oracle Essbase 21c is no longer managed by Oracle Process Manager and Notification server (OPMN). Essbase 21c , which is now part of EPM Release 11.2.15, uses a Weblogic managed, lease based failover.
In the previous Essbase 11g (11.1.2.4) release, a maximum of two nodes were allowed per cluster. Starting with Essbase 21c, you can add as many failover nodes as you like to each cluster. See Differences Between Essbase 11g and Oracle Essbase 21c for more information.
