No Member

A common approach to mixing data with irregular dimensionality is to use members that designate the data point to not have a reference in the dimension. Using a "No" member such as "NoProduct" supports storing data that has not yet been designated to a specific product.

When using a "No" member in a Hierarchies Enabled dimension, it is advisable to place the "No" member in the 1st generation 2 hierarchy. This helps simplify reporting by ensuring that all data points for the dimension, including data not yet attributed in that dimension, aggregate to the top of the dimension.
