Purpose
This document includes important, late-breaking information about this release of Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision. Review this Readme thoroughly before installing Tax Provision.
Scope of this Release
Tax Provision Release 11.2.1.0.000 offers these benefits:
- Delivers updated technology, including Fusion Middleware (FMW) 12g.
- Includes updated platform certifications.
- Streamlines and simplifies the architecture, updating the underlying technology stack without a major upgrade. Future enhancements are delivered through Patch Set Updates (PSUs), so you can easily get new features by simply adding a patch onto your installation rather than reinstalling from scratch. This more nimble delivery mechanism enables smaller releases for easier adoption of new features.
- Provides a simplified repository configuration to streamline infrastructure and architecture for the future.
- Includes Premier Support is provided through at least 2030.
About the New Features in this Release
This section includes new features in Release 11.2.x. To review the list of new features from earlier releases, use the Cumulative Feature Overview tool. This tool enables you to identify the products you own and your current implementation release. With a single click, the tool quickly produces a customized report of new feature descriptions. New Features in Release 11.2.1.0.000
Release 11.2.1.0.000 adds support for Google Chrome web browser, Microsoft Edge web browser, and Windows Server 2016. Check the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Certification Matrix for all platform requirements.
Note:
Internet Explorer will be dropped with EPM 11.2.2. For Internet Explorer Browser usersMicrosoft recommends using the new Microsoft Edge as your default browser. With this guidance in mind, Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System will no longer support Internet Explorer starting with release 11.2.2.0.000. There are no new features for Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision in Release 11.2.0.
Oracle® Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Architect Not Available in Oracle® Enterprise Performance Management System Release 11.2.x
Oracle® Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Architect is no longer available in Oracle® Enterprise Performance Management System Release 11.2.x.
If you're migrating to Oracle® Enterprise Performance Management System Release 11.2.1.0.000 and have applications in EPM Architect Release 11.1.2.4, you can migrate the applications out of EPM Architect Release 11.1.2.4 into Oracle® Data Relationship Management Release 11.2.0. See Integrating Oracle® Data Relationship Management Suite with Enterprise Performance Management.
Updated HTP Metadata Installer
An updated HTP Metadata Accelerator utility is included when you update Hyperion Tax Provision, but it needs to be installed.
Note:
You must have Smart View installed to use the utility.To install the HTP Accelerator, from the Enterprise Performance Management System Workspace, select Tools, thenInstall, and then select Tax Provision Metadata Accelerator.

Internet Browser Support
For Internet Explorer Browser users, Microsoft recommends using the new Microsoft Edge as your default browser. Tax Provision 11.2.0 follows the platform requirements which are stated in the 11.1.2.0 version of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Certification Matrix. The topics in this section list platforms supported by Tax Provision that are in addition to those listed in the matrix, or platform support introduced in this release.
Browser Support
Tax Provision does not have a browser version dependency; however, it is possible that the products that Tax Provision works with do have dependencies.
Check the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Certification Matrix and specific product readmes for any additional browser support requirements.

Defects Fixed in This Release
This release includes all defects fixed from any PSE or PSU released after Release 11.1.2.4. See those readmes for the list of defects fixed in each PSE or PSU. The Oracle Hyperion Tax Provision Release 11.1.2.4.000 readme is inclusive of all defects fixed.
About Known Issues
Release 11.2.1.0.000 and Release 11.2.0 contain no new known issues. To view known issues from Release 11.1.2.4 or later PSEs or PSUs, see those readmes.
