Internet Explorer Compatibility View Registry Settings
Due to Microsoft Internet Explorer compatibility issues, users may see an error message when connecting (for example, an HTTP error with the code -1
) or a compatibility message when launching a report from Financial Reporting.
To avoid these Microsoft Internet Explorer compatibility issues, you can modify the Windows Registry as follows.
Note:
You can also enable compatibility by ensuring that the Health Check option, Browser Emulation Mode, is set properly. See Performing a Health Check on Your System for more information.
For 32-bit Office:
In [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION]
, add the following three DWORD (32-bit) values:
"EXCEL.EXE"=dword:00008000
"POWERPNT.EXE"=dword:00008000
"WINWORD.EXE"=dword:00008000
For 64-bit Office:
Add the three DWORD values for Excel, PowerPoint, and Word in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION]
.
The values must match your installed version of Internet Explorer. If you are unsure which entry to use, then use the 32-bit Office values noted above.

"POWERPNT.EXE"=dword:00008000
