Installing in the Windows Program Files Folder

On Windows 11 operating systems, non-administrator users are not authorized to modify the Program Files folder or the Program Files (x86). If an administrator installs Oracle Smart View for Office in Program Files or Program Files (x86), a non-admin user will not be able to uninstall Smart View.

The default installation folder for Smart View is C:\Oracle\SmartView.

Oracle advises that you do not install in Smart View in the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder.
