Build and Deploy Package for Shared Table Configuration in DV Path Code

Before you can view audit records, specifications for the audit shadow table must exist on the enterprise server. Therefore, after you configure auditing for a table, you must build and deploy a package to the enterprise server. To view audit information on the web client, you must build and deploy a package that contains all audit table specifications to the enterprise server.

The first step in building and deploying a package is to assemble the package.

  1. Sign in to DV920 environment and enter GH9083 in the Fast Path. Package and Deployment Tools opens.
  2. Expand Package and Deployment Tools and click Package Assembly.
  3. On Work with Packages form, click Add and then on the Package Assembly Director, click Next.
  4. On the Package Information form, complete the Package Name and Description fields.
  5. Enter DV920 in the Path Code field.
  6. Select the Director option and click Next.
  7. On Package Type Selection, select Update and enter DV928H in the Parent Package field.
  8. On the Foundation Component form, click Next.
  9. On Object Component form, click Browse Objects.
  10. On the Object Component Selection form, select All Versions.
  11. Enter the audit table name you enabled earlier in the Object Name field. Click find and then select the table and click Select. Repeat the steps for all the audit tables you enabled.
  12. Click Close to return to the Object Component form and then click Next.
  13. On the Features Component form, click Next.
  14. On the Language Component form, click Next.
  15. On Package Component Revisions form deselect Build Business Services and click End.

After you assemble the package, you must build and deploy it. See Building Packages and Deploying Packages in the Package Management Guide for details.
